Abstract: Ever wonder what our youngest board member does for his daytime job? Wonder no more! For a change of pace, Jack will present how marine technologies are used by polar oceanographers at work. He will also present his ongoing research findings on ecology in polar fjords, ocean optics, satellite remote sensing, and integration with novel machine learning techniques. Jack will also share his experience in Antarctica and discuss both the good and bad surprises during his expeditions.
