MTS Intern Appreciation Dinner
Please join MTS in recognizing the students who participated in this year's Summer Internship Program. This year the program celebrated its 10th anniversary and a record number of students were able to participate, working for a 6-week period in a number of MTS-member companies in the San Diego area. The dinner will be at Tom Ham’s Lighthouse (2150 Harbor Island Drive), Friday, October 24th, at 6:00 PM.

MTS/SME Annual Summer Picnic

Bring your toys along with your entry for the annual Chili Competition. In addition to having lots of chili on hand, we'll be grilling carne asada and pollo asado with all the fixings along with hot dogs and other goodies. The highlight of the day is sure to be the build-it-yourself sailboat contest- always a creative challenge for kids of all ages!

Lighthouse, where attendees will enjoy eye-catching vistas of the San Diego Bay,
Coronado Bridge and the San Diego skyline. In addition, at the dinner you will
be able to check-out the winners of the MTS-sponsored Science Fair.

1st Annual Summer Swing Golf Tournament
Come support the Marine Technology Society's San Diego Chapter by

Cable and Connectors Workshop
The San Diego Section of the Marine Technology Society is proud to announce this year's Cables and Connectors Workshop!
Building upon the success of last year's workshop at the MTS/IEEE Oceans Conference in Vancouver, this year's workshop promises to be even better!
The workshop will take place in San Diego (location to be determined) on April 4th, 2008. Cost is $50 for MTS members and $65 for non-members.

2007 Holiday Dinner
The San Diego chapter of the Marine Technology Society hosted its annual Holiday Dinner on December 8th, 2007, at the Marina Village in San Diego's Mission Bay. As it is customary for this event, Section members had an opportunity to hear from the participants of the Summer Student Internship Program on their experiences while in the program. We also had a lot of fun at the White Elephant gift exchange, which featured both practical as well as unique gifts! Four member companies were also recognized at this particular Holiday Dinner for their continual contribution (5 years) to the Summer Internship Program.
