Abstract:
Michelle White, Principal, Green Port Planning & Energy at the Port of San Diego, will give an update on the Port’s Green Port Program and the Climate Action Plan. The Port’s Climate Action Plan was adopted in 2013, placing the Port at the forefront of the San Diego region’s climate planning efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Paula Sylvia, the Port’s Program Manager on Aquaculture and Blue Technology, will talk about the Port’s plans to create a new aquaculture incubator and future plans for blue technology opportunities along the Port.
In March 2014 Hardy was an invited speaker at the British Royal Academy of Engineering and a Keynote speaker at the Oceanology International Conference/2014 in London.
Hardy continues to develop cost-effective benthic lander systems for the academic community, assisting the next generation of marine scientists and engineers to challenge the unknowns of their respective fields.
