Position: Technical Sales Manager
Responsibilities:
The Technical Sales Manager reports to the President and is responsible for sales, marketing, and business development activities for Rowe Technologies, to include the following:
Lead the planning and implementation of sales and marketing activities to include sales forecasts/planning and execution of established plans, as well as planning and producing product marketing plans (advertising, trade shows, etc.).
- Manage, support and grow the world-wide sales representative network to include sales support, technical training, and monitoring of sales activity.
- Expand the existing product base and market share through comprehensive planning which includes product requirements definition and competitive analysis.
- Work with engineering team to create internal product specifications and engage in the product evaluation and approval process.
- Lead direct sales and marketing activities with key customers; coordinate and execute in-water product demonstrations when required.
- Coordinate sales forecasts and associated support requirements with internal manufacturing personnel to meet approved sales plan.
- Periodically provide reports to track sales/bookings activities.
- Maintain overall technical competency in key product and application areas.
Background & Requirements:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree, and 5+ years related experience in sales/marketing of underwater acoustic products and systems.
- Direct experience in the use of acoustic products for physical oceanographic measurements is desired.
- Hands-on experience in the deployment and operation of underwater acoustic products/systems is desired.
- International and domestic travel is required, 30% – 50%
