The San Diego Section of MTS hosted their 2016 Holiday Dinner on December 8th at the Bali Hai Restaurant overlooking the San Diego Bay. Individual and Corporate members joined for the evening to recognize the participants in this year’s High School Internship program. The students had the opportunity to intern at sponsor companies and institutions last summer.

The occasion also served to award Mihika Nadig, winner of the second place in the Senior category during her participation on the 2016 Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair. Mihika could not receive the recognition last summer for her work on “Convolutional Neural Networks Applied to Video Clips”, but MTS and the Science Fair organizers ensured she would get the proper distinction before long.
The Internship Program also recognized Teledyne Seabotix for their 15th year sponsorship in the program. Pictured below shows Larry Nordell, handing the recognition to Grace DeForest on behalf of Teledyne Seabotix.
